LIFT Medical (Niger)
Written by Michael Kane
Project Overview
In partnership with: Serving In Mission
Background
LIFT has been working in the Galmi Hospital for the past nine years. It is the only mission-run accident and emergency hospital in Niger, one of the poorest countries in the world. SIM not only gives medical care but also seeks to open hearts for the Gospel. This will be our eleventh time in Niger and any of the previous team members will tell you that it is a special calling to work for the Lord in such a harsh and barren country. It has been a privilege to work alongside the missionaries and local workers at the hospital.
The Project
LIFT is taking a construction team to the hospital and again we have been asked to take doctors with us. They will work in the accident and emergency department, allowing the missionary doctors some time off.
Skills required
