LIFT Medical (Nigeria)

Project Overview
In partnership with: Holley Memorial Hospital
Background
The Holley Memorial Hospital was founded many years ago, originally as a leprosy treatment centre. Since then the work has expanded and there is currently a steering group called ‘Friends of Ochadamu’ that meets regularly to pray, support and plan ways in which they can help the hospital. Supplies such as a new generator, additional medical equipment, beds and mattresses etc. have been given to the hospital itself, but the leprosy colonies have remained untouched. In 2011 LIFT started to work in these colonies. We have been asked back to continue the improvements and this time medical staff have also been requested, to work in the hospital while the practical team is in the leprosy colonies.
