France (La Garenne)
Written by Michael Kane
Project Overview
In partnership with: Evangelical Church at La Garenne
Background
The Evangelical Church at la Garenne is a nascent work, having started with Bible studies and once a month services over the 2007/08 season. A group of about 25 - 30 adults started coming along and the decision was made in January 2008 to formally launch a new church in this town which has no other formal protestant/evangelical presence. Regular Sunday morning services started on the 14th of September.
At the moment they are working with and supported by the Association Baptist, one of the French Baptist unions. They have leased a small factory/office unit that is ideal for a church building. This area does however need considerable building work done to it.
