Background

Pastor Eddie Henderson and his church (Church On The Way) in Perthshire are involved in the building of a new Christian Centre in Malindi, Kenya. The work in Malindi is called ‘Children of God’s Kingdom’ and is the vision of Ditte Thye, a German lady living in Kenya for approx 15 years.

This new facility will contain a meeting centre where children and teens from the community can be reached with the gospel and equipped to follow Jesus, classrooms where literacy classes will be held, agricultural areas where the children can learn how to make the best use of the land, a vocational school to teach sewing, carpentry, etc. and housing facilities for needy children and teens who are pregnant, chased away from home or are orphaned.

The Project

To build phase one of the project in Malindi, which is a staff house (this will initially double as a nursery school until it is built in Phase 2).

  • Two bricklayers
  • Two joiners
  • Plumbers
  • One electrician
  • Number of handy persons
