Niger

Post Project Review
This was our third project to the Galmi Hospital in Niger.
Four ladies seven men set out early one morning from Dublin. They seen prayers answered when they arrive later in the day when all eighteen pieces of luggage arrived in Niamey.
The six hour journey to Galmi provide a time to really get to know the team in tight conditions. The team became great friends, encouraging and praying for each other. All we heard about Galmi was true; an oasis in a hot and arid part of one of the poorest countries of the world. In the face of adversity and in conditions that are hard to fully explain the staff at this hospital are amazing examples of true servant hearts.
The team carried out electrical improvements under the leadership of Stephen McLaughlin, Colin Green had the ability to repair broken machines, cabling the entire site for the Internet and installing new water filters was also carried by the team. Marion volunteered for sewing work little did she realise just how much. Pairs and pairs of curtains were made. This just shows you how God and LIFT can use all skill.
The missionaries told the team that they had been looking forward for their arrival. Even if we had carried out No work the encouragement, fun, laughter, times spent just chatting to each other, the times of prayer together and the fellowship together made this project so worthwhile.
