Post Project Review
In the early hours of Friday 8th July, eight men set out from Co. Monaghan to Hungary via Dublin airport. Why Monaghan?; over the past five years Trevor Windrum has been going on LIFT projects, he also has been gathering support and building up interest among other churches in Monaghan. In the past few years John Purse has had many invitations to speak in Monaghan and with Trevor has been at the Monaghan Missionary Convention.
This year we have seen a great response from Monaghan with eleven volunteers going on LIFT projects seven on this project alone. Even the one man from the north lives close to the border and he made contact with LIFT through an event in Monaghan.
The team were working for Charles Ficsor a local Hungarian pastor helping to finish a centre, which has been built for his work. The team split into two, a tiling team and a team to sheet in the large roof space.
The roof space team then moved into the basement and floated a floor and put in concrete paths around the building. In all they used over 9 tonne of cement in this work. Many rooms were tiled and they also used over a half a tonne of tile cement during the work.
The team, Charles and his family enjoyed fellowship time together every evening. Before the project was finished one of the team was baptised by Charles and afterwards, they all had communion together.
All Charles asked of this team was completed.
