Post Project Review

With the fall of communism in the early 1990’s a whole new area of the world was now being opened to the good news of the gospel. The countries of central Asia, which has for so long been denied access to the Bible and Christian workers, were now the coalfaces of pioneer work for the Lord.

Give thanks that God’s people are in Central Asia, preaching the good new of the Gospel, giving aid, support and love to God’s children in this part of His world.

What an opportunity and privilege it has been for LIFT to take a team to Central Asia and assist this work for our Lord. We where asked to re-roof a building use by the missionaries and if time permitted convert a room into a bathroom.

The team worked long days in high temperatures not only to complete the roof, we then moved into the bathroom, pipes where installed, a ceiling was fitted, men and women tiled both floor and walls and other rooms where painted.

The team had great time of fellowship together and with the missionaries, three couples from Northern Ireland. To hear their stories, to laugh and cry with them, will be remembered.  It is wonderful to see how God is working in their lives and in Central Asia. Time after time they told us that we where such an encouragement to them just by going to Central Asia.
