About The Mission

Kypseli Church is a church plant in Athens.  It is the only Greek-speaking evangelical church in the area.  Kypseli is a neighbourhood with 180,000 people, and it is heavily influenced by poverty.  The church has grown to about 120 people every Sunday, but their current space is too small to hold them.  In order to fit every one into the current space, they have two worship services in the morning and one Farsi-speaking in the afternoon.  Over the last few years they have made lots of connections with families in the neighbourhood (their weekly youth group is about 50 - 60 teens, meeting in two services).

In the last couple of years, the Lord has blessed and provided funds for them to purchase a new building.  They are looking forward to relocating, so they can serve the church and the neighbourhood more efficiently.  When renovated, the building will have a capacity for over 400 people.

Greece is about 90% Orthodox, 4% Atheist, 3% Evangelical Christian, 2% Muslim and 1% Roman Catholic.
