About The Mission
CEF in Armenia has been operating since 1991 and they have seen God bless their work among children. They have nine missionaries and work closely with the Christian churches in Armenia, who mostly use CEF literature to teach their children.
In 2020 CEF purchased a camp site close to Lake Sevan, about 1900m above sea level. The site has 4 buildings, a conference room with kitchen, 2 buildings for accommodation and a storage building. Despite the building not really being fit for purpose, they decided to hold kids camps regardless in 2021, 2022 and 2023 and witnessed 282 children come to faith in Christ.
The accommodation building can hold up to 70 people but they would like to accpmmodate more than that in due course.
Although LIFT have served in Armenia before, we have not served in this area.
About The Work
There is a lot of work to be carried out to make these buildings fit for purpose. They have requested metal work to shelves, gates and railings. They also requested ceramic tiling to the showers and toilets area and a large plumbing project including sewage work. Joinery work in the form of making and installation of cupboards for each child, electrical work and plastering is also required and they may need to change some of the room layouts, requiring new partition walls.
