In Partnership With: The Baptist Church, Kovin
Proposed Project Dates
8th to 22nd May 2021
About The Mission
The Baptist Church in Kovin has seen God bring their vison to life, this small faithful Christian church in Serbia has suffered many years of persecution but has managed to come through it and is now growing. The Baptist Church in Kovin struggled to get building permission from the Authorities for many years, but during that time they stock piled bricks and materials in preparation. In 2016 planning permission was granted and against the odds they have managed to build a three storey church building. In 2019 the main church sanctuary was opened and the congregation have been worshipping there ever since without a full time pastor.
About The Work
ABOUT THE WORK:
This will be our fifth team to Kovin Baptist Church. Previous teams have built walls, plumbed toilets areas, dry-lined walls, installed plaster-boarded suspended ceilings and fitted OBS boarding under the roof structure. The first and second floors now need to be fitted out. This year’s team will continue to work up through the building by plaster-boarding and dry-lining the walls and ceilings and tiling some bathrooms and kitchens on the top floor which will be the apartment for the new Pastor. (Whenever God calls one to serve there). This team was cancelled in 2020 due to Covid-19.
