About The Mission
Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) in Plasek, Poland are doing a great work for Christ among children and now also among refugees from meighbouring Ukraine. CEF have been working with children throughout Europe since 1947 and now have over 600 missionaries reaching about 1 million children each year.
LIFT have been sending construction teams to CEF Poland since 2010 and we have seen the CEF Centre transformed and refurbished to make it more fit for purpose in serving the children of Poland and further afield. Last year's team, as well as working on the Centre and carrying out replacement toilets and showers, helped with the distributon of materials and food intended for Ukraine.
The CEF Centre in Poland is the main distribution centre for children's Christian literature in Europe and therefore plays a significant purpose in the CEF work throughout Europe.
About The Work
There is still much to do at the centre and depending on our volunteers' skills, we would like to plaster some rooms in the office and hang a few doors as well as completing the paving outside in the car parking area. We started the refurbishment of the plumbing last year and would like to continue on with this work, we will not get it all completed but it would be good to complete as much as we can.
