In Partnership With: The Christian Family Centre (Namibia)
Proposed Project Dates
4th September to 18th September 2021
About The Mission
The Christian Family Centre (Namibia) headed up by David Hoy in Northern Ireland has been based in the south of Namibia for over 20 years. They equip young men with practical skills that enable them to get employment, but more importantly they share the Gospel of Christ with them and disciple them in the ways of God’s Word. In later years most of the students have come from the north of Namibia, so the centre would like to relocate 800km north to a very deprived part of Namibia called Ondangwa to enable them to reach and help more young men. This will make it much easier and cheaper for the men to attend.
About The Work
As the Centre prepares to move up north in Namibia they need to build new premises which will include a small dwelling house and a workshop for the mission to get started. The team will most likely be serving alongside some local men which give us a great opportunity to be witnesses and ambassadors for Christ and to make friends with the local people and get to know them more personally. This will be LIFT’s first time serving in Namibia where English is the official language although many local languages are used.
