About The Mission
The CEF centre is located in Nazareth, which these days has mainly an Arab population. CEF are doing a great work among both children and adults in this difficult place. The centre is well used for kids clubs, adult training, leadership meetings and conferences as well as having storage facilities.
CEF are also very active throughout the whole of the Middle East, translating Christian literature form English into Hebrew and Arabic which are distributed to 32 countries and being used for evangelism and teaching in many churches and schools.
LIFT have been working at the CEF Centre in Nazareth for many years and have carried out some major projects as well as some maintenance work, but we have transformed the building into a fit for purpose, modern centre.
About The Work
At the time of LIFT deciding to send a team to Israel there is a war going on between Israel and Hamas in Gaza and, although this is quite far from Nazareth we do not want to take any unnecessary risks. So with this in mind, the final decision for this project will depend on the situation closer to the time. However, please, we ask that you express your interest on serving on this project as early as possible. The work will involve mainly maintenance to the CEF Centre and the grounds outside.
